Well. I’m not really sure what season it is. We had a week of gorgeous early spring days and then today’s frigidity broke the 117 year low! It’s got me all confused.

What do you do to get through the volatility of spring?

New Originals!

There are a few new originals up in TART — celebrating the last of winter and the first of spring. Each image is 4×4 and framed with a natural wood 7×7 frame.

I love making these little collages — they capture my world here so satisfyingly and I love the thought of them finding good homes out in the world.
If you’re interested, contact TART directly for pricing and availability.

Signs

Out tromping earlier this week, I stumbled across these:

They look like aliens to me … the first intrepid explorers into spring.

Out across a sunny field these caught my eye. How could they not!

Electric yellow against the drab and muted grasses of last year.

And finally, right under my feet, I found these:

Monday Morning Joy : Linden.g

Can you believe it? THIS is what exists under our noses and we don’t have any idea:

I spend a lot of my time thinking about and trying to measure invisible things. It makes me appreciate how much we’ve been able to figure out, and even more, how much we still don’t know.

These photos were taken by a biochemist : I’m completely enchanted by the physical world around me and obsessed by its natural beauty. My career in science has magnified this feeling of awe. For me, photography is a way to capture this physical beauty and to pass this feeling on to others.

I hope your Monday holds hidden discoveries.

SPRING!

Happy, happy first day of spring!

I am ready for:

bare feet,
bare shoulders,
freckles,
green shoots,
seedlings,
dirty fingernails,
muddy, smiling dogs,
spectacular sunsets over green hills,
and most of all, Sandhill Cranes!!!!

What are you eager for with this new season?
