How about a weekend of great music, great food and new friends in central Montana?!
Mark your calendars — the weekend kicks off Friday night with a free street dance in White Sulphur Springs featuring a GREAT local band, Little Jane and the Pistol Whips.
Remember my talk of street dances? This is your chance to ask a cowboy (or girl) to dance in the middle of Main Street on a beautiful summer night…
The festival itself will be held on a nearby ranch, overlooking town and the Little Belt Mountains. There will be room for camping and dancing and soaking up the sweet Montana sunshine.
Speaking of soaking, the town gets its name from a hot spring that bubbles up right in the middle of town — if you shake and shimmy a little too much, you can pop in for a soak between the music.
There will be artists and craftspeople from all over the West, ranch and farm work demos (like horse shoeing and blacksmithing) and a women’s cross-cut sawing competition.
And the music!
Lyle Lovett and his Large Band :: Jerry Jeff Walker :: Guy Clark :: Carrie Rodriguez :: Micky and the Motorcars :: The Trishas :: Martha Scanlan :: Bearfoot :: and local favorites Ben Bullington and Ten Foot Tall and 80 Proof.
For tickets, or if you are interested in being a vendor at the show, visit the music festival website: RED ANTS PANTS MUSIC FESTIVAL .
This is more than just a music festival, it is a celebration of the Montana lifestyle.
I hope I’ll see you there!
